"Nicos Weg" is a free online German language course produced by Deutsche Welle in cooperation with Germany's Federal Employment Agency. Deutsche Welle, shortened to DW, is a German public, state-owned international broadcaster. Their website has a section dedicated to providing free resources for German learners of all levels (CEFR A1 - C2) around the world. "Nicos Weg", their award-winning e-learning course, is equally suitable for complete beginners and more advanced learners. It is comprised of three courses (A1, A2 and B1) which follow the protagonist Nico Gonzalez’s adventures in Germany.

Jeder Kurs/jede Stufe umfasst etwa 2 Stunden Videomaterial, das in 76 kurze Episoden/Lektionen (zweiminütige Videoclips) unterteilt ist, die verschiedene Themen und Alltagssituationen abdecken. In jeder Folge gibt es interaktive Übungen zum Üben und Verbessern der Sprachkenntnisse. Am Ende jedes Levels können Sie Ihr Wissen mit dem Abschlusstest überprüfen und Ihr Zertifikat von der Deutschen Welle erhalten.
